The Magnolia is an architecturally designed home, designed for growing families who enjoy outdoor entertaining. It has all the features you would expect in a luxury home such as high raked ceilings, gas fireplace, separate lounge and family meal areas, luxury bathroom and ensuite configurations, ample storage in the garage, linen storage and a large walk-in pantry.

The Home has a living area of 176.3m2, Garage of 43.1 and an alfresco of 18m2. The home was constructed for a client in Denman Prospect with a young family who wanted to have enough space for their family and have a beautiful entertaining alfresco area.

The Magnolia also has a custom kitchen featuring luxury stone tops with waterfall ends and beautiful glass splashback with a soothing colour scheme to match the house. The owner has also incorporated their own personal design touches to the home. They have specified locally quarried blue stone with a dry stacked finish to the entrance and the ornamental letter box to create a stunning facade.

The Magnolia is an extremely versatile design, aimed at slightly larger families. To that end we have focused on adequate living spaces, spacious bathrooms, outdoor entertaining and the often forgotten gem, storage.

Kolak Living has catered to the desire for open plan living by creating living areas that cascade onto each other, to create a sense of space. This has been achieved to some degree by locating the master bedroom to the rear of the home, which also allows the master bedroom to be treated as a sanctuary for the parents. Further, we have allowed these two areas to be separated by the addition of double opening doors. This would be especially useful as the front lounge can be treated as a media room that can be closed off.

The outdoor entertaining areas is accessed by a sliding stacking door that has been recessed into the slab, for a
more flush finish. At 18m2 there is ample room for seating and outdoor cooking alike.

Kolak Living also ensured there was ample storage. The garage can accommodate two medium to large sized cars and also has an additional area for storage located at the rear of the home. The storage was designed to accommodate children’s toys, bikes, workbenches and or tools.
Kolak Living believed it was critical to have numerous storage solutions in the home, in addition to the garage, for example:

  • The WALK in pantry is slightly larger to allow for easier manoeuvring and filling of shelves, storing appliances such as large microwaves, kettles and toasters.
  • Two Linen cupboards and a larger cupboard to the rear of the home for the bedrooms and a smaller one to the front of the home.
